This is a delicious basic berry smoothie, ready to drink in only 5 minutes
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- a banana
- 1/2 cup of liquid (milk/juice, whichever you prefer)
Throw everything into the blender and whiz it up until everything is well mixed together.
This is my standard, go-to smoothie. It’s perfect for those times when I have over slept my alarm and run out of time to have breakfast. I love to use sugar-free cranberry juice as my liquid. I find that berries are naturally quite sweet, the cranberry juice enhances the berry flavour of the smoothie, but doesn’t over sweeten.
I often think that some berries (I’m looking at you, raspberries) tend to have a lot of seeds, which (of course) get stuck directly in my front teeth. Not a good look for anyone! Through trial and error, the Orchard Gold Smoothie Mixed Berries are a great way to avoid those awkward do-I-tell-her-there-are-seeds-in-her-teeth situations. The mix includes blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries, which are all less ‘seedy’ than other berries and still gives that awesome mixed berry flavour.
